Corpus Christi will be hosting the 14th Annual Holiday Hilltop 5K Run / Walk and ½ Mile Fun Run / Walk on Saturday, December 13th , at 9:00 a.m. This year’s beneficiary is Kaitlyn Walford.
About Kaitlyn…
Kaitlyn is a 14 year old student at Father McGivney High school, a former student of St. Clare Catholic School, and a parishioner of St. Clare Catholic Church. She is the daughter of Dan and Lauren Walford. Kaitlyn was a healthy and vibrant child when in April of 2025, she went to the ER for what appeared to be an infected bug bite. Less than 24 hours later, she had a definitive diagnosis of High Risk B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. What we thought was a bug bite, was actually a mass of leukemia cells. She would spend the next 5 consecutive weeks in the hospital fighting this aggressive cancer that had quickly taken over her body. Kaitlyn’s treatment will be a long 2 1/2 year battle full of clinic appointments for chemotherapy infusions, physical therapy, and many additional hospital stays along the way. Kaitlyn is a bright young lady who has a passion for reading, drawing, and dance. She has had to take a huge step back from dance, but we are hopeful that she will soon be back dancing like she was before diagnosis. We have an amazing community that has been praying for her every step of the way and we are incredibly thankful for that!
We will have live bands playing Christmas music along the route.
All proceeds from the event will assist the Walford family with Kaitlyn’s past and future medical expenses

- $30.00 if completed online/postmarked on or before November 26, 2025
- $35.00 if completed online or postmarked after November 26, 2025 or on race day
1/2 Mile Participants
- $20.00 if completed online or postmarked before November 26, 2025
- $25.00 if completed online/postmarked after November 26, 2025 or on race day
- Trophies to top 3 overall male and female finishers.
- Medals to top 3 men and women in each age group: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

- Long sleeve T-shirts will be provided to all participants registered on or before November 26, 2025
- Participants registered after November 25, 2025 will receive shirts on a first-come, first served basis
